Pay: $30/hr - $36/hr on W2 (Inclusive all)
Duration:6 months, with possibility of extension
Job Summary
We are seeking an experiencedIT Desktop Support Technician III to provide hands-on technical support, manage IT assets, and support onboarding and offboarding for onsite and remote employees.
The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, advanced experience supportingWindows and macOS environments, and experience withActive Directory, Entra ID, and Office 365. This role requires a customer-focused mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced enterprise IT environment.
The Desktop Support Technician III will play a key role in maintaining system stability, supporting end users, deploying hardware and software, and contributing to ongoing IT projects and operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical support to onsite and remote employees.
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, operating system, application, hardware, and peripheral issues.
- Deploy and configure desktop and laptop systems, including hardware, operating systems, applications, and required software.
- Set up and configure equipment for new employees.
- Supportemployee onboarding and offboarding, including equipment provisioning, configuration, and recovery.
- Install, maintain, and perform minor repairs on hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
- Diagnose technical issues using technical manuals, user information, system diagnostics, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Support and troubleshootWindows and macOS operating systems and enterprise applications.
- Provide support forActive Directory, Entra ID, and Microsoft Office 365 environments.
- Maintain accurate records of support activities, incidents, resolutions, installations, and IT asset-related activities.
- Provide regular status updates on tickets, open issues, deployments, and IT projects.
- Escalate major hardware, software, or product-related issues to appropriate vendors or technical teams.
- Coordinate with vendors and technicians when specialized service or repairs are required.
- Develop user training materials and technical procedures as needed.
- Train users on the proper use of hardware, software, and IT systems.
- Recommend appropriate hardware and software solutions based on organizational requirements.
- Assist with IT projects, process improvements, and operational initiatives.
- Manage workload and prioritize tickets and projects with minimal supervision.
- Deliver a high level of customer service and maintain positive relationships with end users.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent experience required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2β5 years of relevant desktop/IT support experience.
- Advanced experience supportingWindows, macOS, and enterprise IT environments.
- Experience withActive Directory.
- Experience withMicrosoft Entra ID.
- Experience supportingMicrosoft Office 365 environments.
- Experience with desktop/laptop deployments, hardware configuration, software installation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently plan, prioritize, and manage workload.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced onsite environment.
