IT Business Systems Analyst (IT BSA)
Location: Juno Beach, FL
Duration: 12 Months
Target Experience: 4-10+ Years (HM is open to candidates with less than 6 years if they have the right skills)
Bill Rate: Up to $75/hr
Position Overview
We are seeking an IT Business Systems Analyst to support the development and ongoing enhancement of an enterprise document management platform that extracts and manages documents from multiple sources across the organization. The platform is currently being expanded to support additional business units, making this a highly collaborative role requiring strong stakeholder management, requirements gathering.
This individual will serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping define requirements, create technical user stories, support development efforts, and act as a scrum master. The role will also provide product support as the platform evolves and scales across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements from multiple stakeholder groups.
- Effectively facilitate discussions and extract requirements from business users and technical teams.
- Develop detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional documentation.
- Create and manage primarily technical user stories for development teams.
- Collaborate closely with developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Clarify requirements throughout development, testing, and deployment cycles.
- Analyze APIs, JSON payloads, system integrations, and data flows.
- Write and execute SQL queries for data analysis, validation, troubleshooting, and testing support.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect triage, production readiness, and post-deployment activities.

- Sprint Planning
- Backlog Refinement
- Sprint Reviews
- Retrospectives
- PI Planning
- Act as a Scrum Master for the team when needed.
- Manage work items, stories, and documentation within Jira and Confluence.
- Support Tax, IT, and other business stakeholders for any issues with this platform.
- Provide ongoing product support as the platform expands across business units.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including those requiring a high-touch ("white glove") support approach.
- Leverage AI tools where appropriate to assist with story creation, SOP documentation, and other BA-related activities.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or IT Business Systems Analyst within Agile environments.
- Strong experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical requirements and user stories.
- Hands-on SQL experience (must be able to write and understand queries, not just review results).
- Experience working with JSON, APIs, integrations, and system data flows.
- Familiarity with cloud-based environments, preferably AWS.
- Deep technical expertise is not required, but candidates should have experience working alongside cloud and integration teams.
- Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and supporting Scrum processes.
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting evolving enterprise platforms or applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Salesforce.
- Knowledge of document management platforms, SharePoint, and metadata management.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools and documentation workflows.
