Job Description
We are seeking an experiencedIT Business Analyst with expertise in theCanadian Insurance domain, specificallyLife, Health, and Dental insurance. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and support successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities & skills:
- Gather and document requirements and enhancements, in partnership with Product Owner
- Drive sprint ceremonies (planning, refinement, demos, retrospectives)
- Break down requirements into actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria
- Identify cross-team dependencies and ensure smooth coordination
- Maintain and prioritize the backlog in alignment with priorities, in coordination with Product Owner
- Develop strong understanding of backend systems, workflows, and data mappings (SQL and Mongo knowledge preferred).
- Support defect triage and root cause analysis
- Strong experience with Agile tools (Jira/Confluence) and process facilitation
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst.
- Strong experience inCanadian Insurance, including:
- Life Insurance
- Health Insurance
- Dental Insurance
- Expertise in requirements gathering and documentation.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with business and technical teams.
