Job Description
Overview
As an IT Business Analyst, you will partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements, analyze business processes, and support the design and implementation of technology solutions. You will assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement and help develop functional specifications and documentation. The successful candidate will collaborate with business users, subject matter experts, and internal IT teams to deliver effective and user-focused solutions.

Yourrole
- Partner with business units and corporate functions to gather requirements, support process improvements, and assist with day-to-day activities, including recurring and year-end processes.
- Plan tasks associated with business analysis and the software development lifecycle (Waterfall, Iterative, Agile).
- Support the identification, documentation, and tracking of project risks and mitigation strategies.
- Create process maps, business requirements, user stories, and other analysis documentation to support solution delivery.
- Configure, maintain, and support business applications, forms, reports, and system configurations.
- Provide functional support for application and business process issues.
- Document requests, maintain project records, and follow established project management and governance processes.
- Develop and execute test plans, support user testing activities, and assist with user training and knowledge transfer.
- Coordinate and provide support to business users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Assist in gathering and documenting application integration requirements.
- Improve process flow and user documentation for implemented applications to enhance user knowledge and competency.
- Support the maintenance of production applications in accordance with customer requirements, compliance standards, and audit policies.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of functional specifications in collaboration with business users, developers, and other stakeholders.
- Document, propose, and optimize application configurations to provide the best usability and information availability.
- Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and training activities related to new features, functionality, and integrations.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Technology Management, or a related field.
- 0-3 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, application support, or process automation (including internships and co-op experience).
- Experience with process automation or low-code platforms (e.g., AgilePoint, Appian, Power Platform) is an asset.
- Experience with SQL is preferred.
- Business acumen (experience in the E&C industry is an asset).
- Exposure to application development technologies such as C#, ASP.NET, or Blazor.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
