Programmer Analyst III (AS400/RPG Developer)
Location: Montgomery, Alabama (Onsite)
Contract Duration: 06 months contract to hire

Must-Have Requirements
• 8+ years of verifiable RPG programming experience
• IBM AS400 platform experience
•Experience within the last 12-15 years
• Business-critical application support experience
• Eligible for Alabama State Merit System employment

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Maintain and enhance the ADPH Vital Statistics System
• Develop and modify RPG applications
• Troubleshoot production issues
• Perform testing and validation
• Document changes and procedures
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders
• Support enterprise metrics initiatives
Ideal Candidate Profile
• 8+ years of AS400/RPG development
• Strong RPG/400, RPGLE, and SQL RPGLE experience
• Production support and troubleshooting background
• Legacy enterprise application maintenance experience
• AS400 administration or upgrade experience (preferred)
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
