Job Purpose

The Offshore Manager is responsible for overseeing and driving offshore operations and commercial activities across Malaysia and the wider regional markets. To lead the commercial development and operational delivery of Offshore Maritime services in Malaysia, with responsibility for identifying new business opportunities, developing key client relationships, and managing tenders and commercial proposals. This role ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of projects while providing strategic oversight and leadership. The Offshore Manager ensures compliance with international standards, promotes operational excellence, and supports business growth and expansion into new markets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

          Offshore Operations

• Lead, plan, and supervise offshore operations across Malaysia and the region.
• Oversee and coordinate the work of Offshore and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Monitor operational performance, identify risks, and implement corrective measures to achieve safe and efficient outcomes.
  
  Strategic Leadership & Expansion
• Develop strategies to support new business growth and potential expansion into regional markets.
• Provide operational insights and recommendations to senior management for future opportunities.
• Build strong regional networks and ensure Inchcape maintains a competitive edge in offshore services.
  
  Offshore Commercial & Business Development
  
• Develop and execute the Offshore commercial strategy for Malaysia and Brunei in line with Company’s growth objectives.
• Identify & develop new opportunities across Offshore agency, marine services, husbandry matters, logistics, project cargo, permitting and crew management related services.
• Build & maintain strong relationship with Offshore operators, ship owners, O&G companies and Maritime Industry.
  
• Lead customer visits, business development meetings, monitor market trends & maintain robust Offshore sales pipelines/ projects.
  
  Stakeholder & Communication Management
  
• Act as the central point of contact for regional offshore clients and partners.
• Deliver concise and timely communication with internal teams, clients, regulators, and third-party service providers.
• Prepare and present performance reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  Compliance & HSSE
• Champion a strong HSSE culture across all regional offshore operations.
• Ensure compliance with all local, regional, and international offshore regulations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and training sessions to uphold Inchcape’s zero-incident mindset.
  
  Person Specification: (Knowledge)
• Offshore Marine Operations and Logistics
• HSSE & Risk Management (international and regional standards)
• Local, Regional, and International Offshore Regulations
• Stakeholder and Client Relationship Management
• Systems Knowledge (ONEDA, Optics, MS Office)
• Commercial Awareness
  
  Required Skills & Experience
• At least 7–10 years of offshore/maritime operations experience, including supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
• Proven track record in leading offshore teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  
• Strategic Planning and Programme Delivery
• Integrity and Accountability
  
• Experience in a regional/multi-market role preferred.
  
  Required Qualifications:
• Degree in Maritime Studies, Offshore Engineering, or related field.
• Valid Offshore Safety Certifications (BOSIET/FOET).
• Preferred: Dynamic Positioning (DP) awareness or related competency certifications.
