We are seeking a talented and motivated Research Analyst to join our French Corporate Governance team in Paris. This is a unique opportunity to join our market-leading Corporate Governance Research team.

As part of the French ISS Benchmark Research team, you will be able to further hone your expertise in a dynamic work environment. Â
This role is well suited to candidates with a keen interest in capital markets, analyzing corporate structures and interactions between corporate bodies, governance frameworks, and understanding how these are assessed by the stakeholders.Â
Responsibilities Â
In collaboration with other members of the team and within the organization worldwide, you will be in charge of the following:Â Â
- Analyzing corporate governance data, financial and extra-financial information to provide detailed reports on companies listed on the French market, based on theISS voting policy.Â
- Providing clients vote recommendations on shareholders' meetings agenda items. Â
- Engaging with issuers regarding shareholders' general meetings. Â
- Answering internal/external questions related to proxy reports. Â
- Contributing to the regular publication of research papers and to the development of ISS corporate governance policies. Â
- Developing an expertise on the French market in corporate governance, investment, and shareholders' rights and expectations. Â
- Engaging with stakeholders, both internally and externally. Â
Required qualifications Â
- Good understanding of finance/capital markets and corporate governance topics, ideally with a first experience in corporate governance.Â
- Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Economics or Political Sciences. Â
- Fluent in French and English, written and spoken (C1 and above). Ability to understand highly technical governance & law related documents in both languages.Â
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Â
- High level and deep dive research skills. Â
- Ability to work independently, take initiatives, and collaborate within a team. Â
- Appetence for taking part in debates on corporate governance and the implementation of the voting policy among team members; ability to support personal ideas all the while accepting criticism and contradiction.  Â
- Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends and/or under tight deadlines during the proxy season (peak in April-May). Â
- Computer literacy. Â Â
Preferred qualifications Â
- Proficiency in AI tools and prompt engineering to enhance research workflow. 
- Other skills (e.g. SQL)
