Associate – Patent Litigation

Salary: $265,000–$420,000 + discretionary bonus and benefits

Position Overview

We are seeking an Associate to join its Intellectual Property & Technology practice. The attorney will work closely with partners across the U.S. on complex IP litigation matters, with significant client interaction and opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle patent, trade secret, false advertising, unfair competition, and other IP litigation matters in federal courts and before the USITC.

• Draft pleadings, motions, appellate briefs, legal correspondence, and other litigation documents.

• Manage discovery, including document review, written discovery, and depositions.

• Work with expert witnesses and assist with expert reports.

• Prepare for and participate in trials, hearings, motion arguments, and appellate proceedings.

• Support proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) and the International Trade Commission (ITC).

• Develop dispute resolution strategies, including mediation.

• Conduct complex legal research and writing.

Required Qualifications

• 4–7 years of litigation experience, with a focus on patent litigation.

• Experience with patent and ITC litigation.

• Strong academic credentials.

• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.

• Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and time-management skills.

• Active license to practice law in the state of hire and in good standing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Admission to the U.S. Patent Bar.

• Background in science or engineering.
