As aProduct Quality Engineer (PQE), you will play a critical leadership role in safeguarding and enhancing product quality across the entire product lifecycle—from early concept and design, through New Product Introduction (NPI), high-volume manufacturing, testing, and worldwide customer delivery. ou will act as the vital quality interface between global development teams, operations, subcontractors, and OSAT partners, ensuring full compliance with automotive APQP frameworks and exceeding global customer expectations


What You Will Do

  • Lead APQP & NPI Quality Governance: Champion the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process from feasibility and kickoff through Release to Production (RTP) and Safe Launch [PRC-0002557_17.pdf]. Ensure all development deliverables—including Jama-based requirements tracking, design reviews, test plan generation, FMEA (DFMEA/PFMEA), and manufacturing control plans—comply with rigorous corporate standards [PRC-0002557_17.pdf].
  • Phase Gate Sign-Off & Risk Management: Own the development, maintenance, and recurring review of the product Risk Register [PRC-0002557_17.pdf]. Serve as the official Quality authority signing off on phase gates throughout the product development flow [PRC-0002557_17.pdf].
  • Safe Launch Strategy: Define, deploy, and monitor the execution of the Safe Launch plan to guarantee manufacturing readiness, smooth production ramp-up, and early detection of process deviations [PRC-0002557_17.pdf].
  • Cross-Functional 8D Leadership: Assume primary responsibility and leadership of cross-functional8D problem-solving teams for major quality issues and customer complaints, driving deep root cause analysis and implementing permanent corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Product Characterization & Qualification: Guide and support product characterization, reliability stress testing, and qualification activities to validate product robustness before commercial release.
  • Global Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner directly with internal teams (Design Engineering, Systems, MPE, DPE, Test, Operations, Reliability) and external stakeholders (automotive/industrial customers, OSAT partners, and certification auditors) to integrate Customer Specific Requirements (CSR) into the overall development plan [PRC-0002557_17.pdf].

What You Will Bring

  • Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Materials Science, Quality Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Professional Experience: 5+ years of direct experience in quality assurance, reliability engineering, or product testing within a semiconductor or high-reliability electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Quality Core Tools Mastery: Deep working knowledge and hands-on application of automotive Quality Core Tools:APQP, FMEA (DFMEA/PFMEA), Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and PPAP [PRC-0002557_17.pdf].
  • Structured Problem-Solving: Demonstrated expertise leading structured problem-solving initiatives using methodologies such as8D, 5-Why, and Ishikawa/Fishbone analysis.
  • Standards & Systems Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding ofIATF 16949 automotive quality standards, Customer Specific Requirements (CSR), ESD fundamentals, and semiconductor failure analysis workflows [PRC-0002557_17.pdf].
  • Leadership & Communication: Excellent cross-functional leadership, facilitation, and communication skills to drive consensus across global engineering disciplines and effectively present quality data during customer interactions and audits.
