Senior Backend Engineer

We are looking for aSenior Backend Developer with strong expertise inPython andPostgreSQL. The role requires familiarity withRedis, AWS, Datadog, and messaging systems such asRabbitMQ or Kafka. You will collaborate closely with technical and non-technical teams, external vendors, and stakeholders, so strong communication skills and the ability to clarify requirements are essential.

This role also requires experience working onfinancial systems or projects involving transactions, revenue, payments, financial reporting, and process automation, where data accuracy, reliability, and traceability are critical.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer, including at least1–2 years of recent hands-on experience with Python.

• Strong proficiency inPython for backend development.

• Strong proficiency inPostgreSQL and relational database concepts.

• Experience working onfinancial projects or systems, including areas such as:

  • Financial transactions, Revenue processing, Payments, Financial reporting, Financial process automation

• Experiencebuilding, maintaining, and improving API performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Experience withcaching systems such as Redis.

• Practical experience usingAI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar as part of the daily development workflow.

• Familiarity withAWS and cloud-based environments.

• Experience withDatadog or other monitoring and observability tools.

• Familiarity withKubernetes.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments.

• Advanced English proficiency, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
