Job Title: Investment Accountant
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85021
Duration: 6+ Months
Pay Rate: $50/hour on W2

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Investment Accountant with strong knowledge of investment accounting, insurance industry reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage monthly close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

• Handle Statutory, GAAP, and NAIC investment accounting and reporting.

• Support audits, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.

• Analyze investment income, securities, gains/losses, and variances.

• Drive process improvements and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of accounting/finance experience, including investment accounting.

• Strong experience with insurance accounting, Statutory, GAAP, and NAIC reporting.

• Experience with Oracle ERP, Oracle ARCS, Oracle Task Manager, and Clearwater.

• Knowledge of SOX/internal controls and audit support.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

• People leadership experience required.

Preferred: CPA, Master’s degree, and 10+ years of investment accounting experience.
