Job Description
Inventory Lead AM - Fort Collins, COMAIN FUNCTION:
The purpose of this role is to coordinate the movement, storage, and processing of materials and finished goods to meet the needs of both internal and external customers. This role will work closely with production planning/scheduling as well as production to ensure all materials are picked and staged in order to meet the production schedule, as well as coordinate with other warehouse personnel to coordinate the delivery of finished goods to the warehouse. The purpose of this role is also to work closely with contract manufacturers/3PL’s for ADM Rodelle as well as internal groups to meet quality and delivery requirements. To develop and implement short and long term processes/procedures for effective and efficient management of contract manufacturing/3PL processes. The Material Handler Lead will also be responsible for assisting in the coordination of commercial development for items that are targeted to be produced at contract manufacture’s site. Ensure accurate and timely movement of material (both physically and through an ERP system) to and from the main warehouse, contract manufacturers, and third party warehouses to meet all internal and external stakeholder requirements.

- Maintain accurate inventory and oversee accurate and timely transactions of all inventory movement through the ERP system; this includes entering, picking, staging, shipping, and processing transfer orders; creating and processing of production batch tickets for internal production as well as production at contract manufacturers (addressing/escalating issues as they arise); entering, receiving, and process of transfer orders back to our warehouse
- Lead or participate in cross-functional teams and work closely with contract manufacturers and 3PL’s to achieve superior levels of performance in quality, delivery, cost management and service
- Facilitate communication and alignment of contract manufactured items with CD&D, Finance and Operations
- Ensure all goods produced through and information supplied by internal production teams as well as contract manufacturers and 3PL’s meet quality/food safety requirements, as well as manufacturing process requirements
- Ensures that all tactical elements of contract manufacturing are accurately and efficiently executed
- Coordinates movement and storage of raw/packaging materials and finished goods between main warehouse, contract manufacturers, and third party warehouses with other key stakeholders to ensure that all quality/food safety, production, customer, and other needs are met
- Reconciles inventory reported by contract manufactures/third party warehouses with inventory reflected in ERP system (addressing/escalating issues as they arise), as well as ensures all requirements of the in-house cycle count programs are met
- Trains and develops material handler team using CCD tools and best practices
- Coordinates and leads material handler team to make sure all responsibilities, duties, and expectations are being met
- Ensures all recording keeping and document procedures/requirements within job function are followed in regards to handling, storing, and retention
- Maintains a continuous improvement mentality, and fosters/encourages that mentality with the material handling team and others
- Leads the development and execution of corporate, site, and departmental policies and procedures related to contract manufacturing and 3PL’s
- Personally abide by and enforce ethical practice in all dealings with contract manufacturers/3PL’s
- Develop and maintain documents pertaining to all contract manufacturing and 3PL functions
- Participates in Performance Excellence and supports different PE initiatives
- Ensure all safety protocols/procedures are being followed and all safety requirements within work area are being met
- Maintain authorization to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and powered pallet jacks
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must be a self-starter (highly motivated) who can work independently or as a part of a team.

 Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
