About The Job:
- The Internal Auditor (Civil) will evaluate the efficiency, compliance, and financial accuracy of construction projects.
- The role focuses on identifying risks, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and building codes, verifying contractual obligations, and providing recommendations to improve project profitability and operational efficiency.
- Operational & Technical Audits: Conduct site audits to verify that construction work aligns with approved plans, technical specifications, and quality standards.
- Compliance Review: Ensure all projects comply with local/international laws, safety procedures, and building regulations.
- Contract & Cost Analysis: Review project contracts, subcontracts, material procurement, and subcontractor invoices for accuracy, overcharging, and compliance.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks to project timelines, budgets, and safety; recommend preventative actions.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports of findings, including actionable, cost-saving recommendations for management.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate internal controls within project management processes to increase efficiency.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years Proven working experience as a civil engineer, project manager, or construction auditor.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of construction techniques, site layout, and design software (e.g., AutoCAD).
- Certifications: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or similar certification is highly desirable.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Percentage of audits completed on time.
- Reduction in project non-compliance issues.
- Cost savings identified through audit recommendations
