Job SummaryÂ
The Internal Ambassador is responsible for providing exceptional support to patients, visitors, and staff within the hospital environment. Working inside the facility, the Internal Ambassador ensures a welcoming, professional, and safe atmosphere by guiding individuals to their destinations, assisting with general inquiries, and providing non-clinical support to enhance the patient experience. Under the supervision of the MHS Team Lead or Manager, the Internal Ambassador plays a key role in improving customer satisfaction and operational flow within the hospital.Â

Key ResponsibilitiesÂ

Greet and assist patients, visitors, and hospital staff in a courteous and professional mannerÂ

Provide directions and escort patients and visitors to appointments, departments, or waiting areasÂ

Respond to general inquiries and resolve concerns or redirect appropriatelyÂ
-
Coordinate with clinical and non-clinical departments to ensure smooth communication and supportÂ

Monitor high-traffic areas to ensure a welcoming and organized environmentÂ
-
Support patient discharge by coordinating transportation or providing wheelchair assistance if trainedÂ
-
Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulationsÂ
-
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional appearance in all assigned areasÂ

Communicate clearly with the MHS Team Lead or Manager regarding any incidents, delays, or unusual activityÂ

Perform other duties as assignedÂ
Qualifications
Qualifications and RequirementsÂ

High School Diploma/GEDÂ
-
6+ months of experience in a customer-facing or healthcare-related role preferredÂ

Must be able to work legally in the United StatesÂ

Must pass background and drug screeningsÂ

Strong communication and interpersonal skillsÂ

Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy hospital environmentÂ
-
Passion for helping others and delivering excellent customer serviceÂ

Required to meet immunization or health screening requirementsÂ
Physical RequirementsÂ

Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, talk, see, and hearÂ

Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionallyÂ

Must be able to push and pull (on wheelchair) 100 to 350 pounds, frequently over considerable distancesÂ
