R&D InternÂ
The R&D Intern will assist in supporting development of medical device products through project work focused on verifying specifications, designs, fixtures, test processes, equipment and helping to ensure the concepts and/or prototypes meet their requirements. Typical degrees include:Â

Qualifications
Required Qualifications Â
 Â
Working toward a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, Materials, Biomedical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or other related disciplines. Â
Creative, inquisitive and demonstrates a strong desire to “build” and “create” (i.e. robotics, mechanical repair, construction). Â
Demonstrated experience reading & preparing technical documentation. Â
Computer experience and skills including MS Word, Excel and CAD. Â

Desired Qualifications Â
Strong analytical capability and organization skills Â
Coursework in 2-D/3-D drawings Â
Knowledge of SolidWorks Â
Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and autonomously. Â
Knowledge of medical device materials and processes: adhesives, plastics/polymers, metals, laser-welding, laser-cutting, braiding, and lamination. Â
Machine shop experience Â

The primary work location for this position is Aliso Viejo, CA (company headquarters). Â
Relocation may be available for qualified candidates. Â
Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. and not require visa sponsorship.
