Our client is a growing women-owned engineering firm specializing in MEP, Sprinkler, and Fire Alarm design. With over 40 years of combined experience, they have built a reputation for responsiveness, attention to detail, and high-quality engineering solutions.
Job Description:
Immediate need for a Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer. This is for a self-motivated candidate who can grow with the firm. The Engineer should be able to assist in the development of plumbing and sprinkler design drawings for permitting and construction under supervision of the principal. As well as perform on-site surveys, calculations, and shop drawings. HYBRID WORK ENVIRONMENT!
Responsibilities:
- Development of plumbing and sprinkler design drawings for permitting and construction
- Perform on-site surveys and inspections as required
- Prepare hydraulic calculations
- Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFI’s during construction
- Coordinate design requirements with in-house mechanical, electrical and fire alarm engineers
- Prepare all construction drawings and reports
- 3-4 years of similar experience in Plumbing and Fire Protection Design
- Familiar with NYC codes and standards
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Microsoft Office Suite.
BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering desired (not required)
