Job Description:
Immediate opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in building design for hospitals and healthcare facilities and a solid foundation in electrical engineering principles.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare power distribution, lighting, fire alarm and telecommunications plans and all associated drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Assist team with design calculations and sizing building electrical systems.
- Assist team in preparing all design documentation.
- Perform system design calculations, load calculations, arc flash and fault current, lighting, and any other electrical calculations required.
- Review electrical documents for areas of conflict.
- Coordinate work with other engineers and architects.
- Incorporate sustainable design methods in buildings.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience designing electrical systems for buildings (3-5 years ideal).
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, and a demonstrated capability of analysis.
- Strong initiative – willingness and ability to succeed in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to multitask with multiple projects to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing
