The Multi-skilled Technician under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities.

Job Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Previous patient care experience and/or technical education in health-relatedfield preferred.
• Effective Communication Skills
• Successful completion of an approved course(s) in phlebotomy and EKG preferred.
• Successful completion and maintenance of BLS healthcare provider training required.

Essential Responsibilities

• Promotes a Culture of Safety by adhering to policy, procedures and plans that are in placeto prevent workplace injury, violence or adverse outcome to associates and patients.
• Provides nursing care, ensures an environment of patientsafety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives and exhibits professionalismin nursing practice within the model of the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®.
• Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, includingconducting EKG tests, Phlebotomy, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output
• Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including bathing,grooming and eating
• Reports abnormal assessment findings or changes in physical, mental and emotionalconditions to nursing staff
• Assists with keeping patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly
