About the Role 

We are looking for a skilled Tester with strong experience inETL testing, data validation, and database workflows. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation inmanual testing, a deep understanding of software testing principles, and hands-on experience working withETL processes, SSIS packages, and SSRS reports. Exposure to test automation is a plus but not a core requirement. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Develop and executemanual test cases based on requirements, data mappings, and system flows. 
• PerformETL testing including: 
  • Source-to-target mapping validation 
  • Data transformation and data quality checks 
  • Validation ofSSIS workflows, jobs, and stored procedures 
• TestSSRS reports for accuracy, layout, filters, and performance. 
• Conductdatabase testing using complex SQL queries for data verification. 
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage includingfunctional, regression, smoke, and database testing. 
• Collaborating with developers, data engineers, BI teams, product owners, and QA leads to ensureend-to-end data quality. 
• Conduct root cause analysis and propose preventive measures for recurring issues. 
• Continuously evaluate and recommend tools, techniques, and improvements forETL and data testing processes. 
• Participate in designing or supporting automated test scripts for ETL, web, or API testing if required. 

Required Skills & Experience 

• 4-8 years of experience in ETL testing and database testing. 
• StrongSQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting. 
• Hands-on experience withSSIS (ETL packages) andSSRS (reporting). 
• Understandingdata warehousing concepts and ETL workflows. 
• Experience testingstored procedures, SQL jobs, and data integrations. 
• Familiarity withREST API testing (Postman, RestAssured, Karate). 
• Exposure toCI/CD pipelines and version control (Git, Jenkins). 
• Knowledge oftest management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr). 
• Experience withcloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). 
• Experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or API automation frameworks is a plus.
