Brandeis University Undergraduate Admissions is accepting applications for the temporary position ofInterim Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions, On-Campus and Virtual Events. The Interim Associate Director will plan and execute a strategy for all on-campus and virtual event programming such as daily visits, prospective student open houses, admitted student visit days, group visits and myriad online events. This position partners closely with colleagues across campus, including the Conference & Events Office, Student Life Office, faculty members, and Facility Services. Reporting to the Dean of Admissions, this position will serve as a direct supervisor for a team of up to five full-time professional staff members. In addition, this individual will serve as a member of the undergraduate admissions leadership team and support the overall execution of strategic departmental, division, and institutional enrollment goals. Â
The hiring range for this 6 month position is $40k - $41.8k
This is a short term position with benefits.
The anticipated employment is November 2026 - April 2027.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead event strategist and manager for all on-campus and virtual programming for both prospective and admitted students. Ensure an exceptional visit experience including training and coaching of admissions counseling staff.Â
- Oversee the daily operations of the campus visit experience.
- Use data-driven decision making to evaluate the efficacy of this programming; propose and implement changes based on data.
- Manage an operational budget for all event programming.
- Supervise four-five professional staff members who are responsible for the management of a 40-person student fellows program, group visits, selection related projects, domestic recruitment, and other projects.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the holistic admissions process to effectively communicate with prospective students and families and thoughtfully inform campus programming.
- Schedule and communicate on-duty coverage, deliver admissions presentations and meet individually with prospective students and families as needed.
Education & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
- 5-8+ years related work experience, including supervisory/management experience.Â

- Exceptional process management skills, organizational skills, problem solving, and decision making.
- Ability to strategically utilize and analyze data to make informed recommendations and decisions.Â
- Must be organized, an excellent communicator and collaborator, with the ability to prioritize and work with multiple deadlines. Ability to build strong relationships with admissions staff, high school counselors, and constituents across campus.
- Computer skills - proficiency with Microsoft applications required; Slate Technolutions, Workday preferred.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Evening and weekend work are necessary during key periods.       Â

The Admissions Office works in a hybrid fashion with exceptions for certain periods of the year. Typically, two scheduled remote days per week are planned after the first three months of employment. We have one day each week when all staff are scheduled to be on-campus.
