Location: Bedford, MA

Contract Details
- Position Type: Contract
- Contract Duration: 6 - 9 months (LOA coverage)
- Pay Rate: $70.00β$90.00 / Hour (USD)
- Shift / Schedule: Days; prefer 40 hours/week, but open to part-time candidates for the right person

Job Summary
We're seeking an experiencedBenefits leader to step in on an interim basis and lead through a critical period, including open enrollment. This role combines program leadership and hands-on execution, ensuring a seamless experience for employees while maintaining operational continuity. This is temporary support during an upcomingopen enrollment season and related benefits initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end open enrollment (planning, execution, vendor coordination, issue resolution, employee experience)
- Manage and support benefits programs including health & welfare, 401(k), and deferred comp
- Project manage timelines, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure smooth delivery
- Serve as a key point of contact for employees, partnering with internal team members to ensure responsive, high-touch support
- Support renewals, benchmarking, and market insights to maintain competitive offerings
- Step in on day-to-day benefits operations as needed during peak periods
Required Skills
- Proven experience leading open enrollment cycles
- Strong background in benefits administration and vendor management
- Knowledge of retirement and deferred compensation plans
- Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Good knowledge of federal and state regulations as it pertains to compliant administration of benefits
Preferred Skills
- Life sciences experience is a plus, but not required
Required Experience
- Strong experience leading benefits administration, including medical, retirement (401(k)), compliance, renewals, and open enrollment activities
- Proven project leadership skills with the ability to manage timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables
- Strategic and systems-oriented mindset
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Experience supporting organizations of 1,000 employees preferred
