Safety Rail Company is looking for candidates interested in traveling the greater US to install our fall safety protection systems on commercial facility rooftops. When travel is not scheduled, they also perform general labor duties onsite in our Chanhassen, MN manufacturing facility. All training and travel related expenses are covered by SRC.
Installation Associate Pay & Skill Levels:
Our Installation Associate positions are structured in three skill-based tiers, with starting pay determined by your qualifications and experience. Installation Associates have the opportunity to advance to the next tier by developing the required skills, demonstrating proficiency, and meeting the qualifications outlined for that level.
Installation Associate I: $26.88

Travel throughout North America to customer sites for installations

Unload pallets and equipment from trucks with a variety of sized forklifts

Working with power tools to assemble fall protection at various heights on rooftops. This will include installing rails into bases, assembling cross overs and gates as well as installing permanent ladders and other products

When not scheduled to be traveling for an installation job, installers are scheduled to work in our production facility in Chanhassen, MN to support production by performing general labor duties to maintain full-time status

Installation Associate II - $29.30
- All duties required by Installation Associate I with at least 1-2 years construction experience in commercial installation
- Able to read project drawings and layouts
- Advanced skills obtained: Forklift/Scissor Lift Certified/Class 7
Installation Associate III - $31.94
- All duties required by Installation Associate II with 3-5 years of construction or similar field experience as well as experience leading crews
- Can actively run small crews of 2-3 on installations and efficiently manage the installation crew when the foreman needs to step away for project-specific meetings or customer-facing discussions. Coach and develop members of the team
- Available to Conduct Inspections and Hazard Assessments
- Ability to lead others on the team and follow through on work plans
- Increased certifications including rough terrain equipment as well as obtaining an OSHA 30 Certificate (company sponsored)
- Extensive knowledge on the various processes for installing most of the SRC products
- A valid Driver's License and good driving record, CDL A preferred
- Expense management responsibilities upon issuance of company credit card
- Assisting Foreman in pre and post installation duties
Qualifications
- Installers must be willing and flexible to travel throughout North America to customer sites by plane and vehicle 2-3 weeks each month, as scheduled. Ability to work overtime as needed.
- When not scheduled to be traveling for an installation job, installers will be scheduled to work in our production facility in Chanhassen, MN to support our manufacturing teams by completing general labor duties.
- Must possess valid TSA approved documents to travel by air as well as for entry on any federal premises. As well as be able to obtain a TWIC card. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record, preferred.
- This is a safety sensitive position. Installers must be able to adapt and overcome various situations while safely following OSHA policies. This position is subject to ongoing non-DOT Drug and Alcohol policy during employment.
- Must be able to perform work duties on high rooftops (with harnesses) and deal with cold or hot weather depending on the season. Must be able to lift heavy objects (100+ lbs.) and other physical demands as required. Must be able to bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist, stand, and climb a ladder.
- Basic tool knowledge is needed to work with various power tools such as drill, tape measure, band saw etc. to assemble fall protection at various heights of commercial rooftops.
- Must complete company job and safety training (Leading-Edge, Forklift, etc.) as well as achieve an OSHA 10 certification (company sponsored).
- Installers must conduct oneself in a professional, safe, and business-like manner while on the job. Stringent adherence to SRC, customer policies and safety requirements on each installation is expected.
- The ability to use mobile devices for time keeping, daily reports, job reports, safety assessments, etc. Must have a smartphone with active service.
