Position Title: Inside Sales Support Specialist

Position Summary: The Inside Sales Support Specialist is responsible for assisting the outside sales team by facilitating order processing, supporting customer inquiries, and addressing order-related issues. This role may also identify potential new customers, conduct cold calls, and contribute to lead generation efforts. This position requires excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills to support both internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Order Management
   • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
   • Resolve issues related to orders, including discrepancies, delays, or product availability concerns
   • Coordinate with outside sales and other internal departments to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
2. Customer Support
   • Assist customers with inquiries related to products, pricing, and order status
   • Address and resolve customer complaints in a professional and timely manner
3. Sales Team Support
   • Provide administrative support to the outside sales team
   • Support follow-up activities for ongoing sales activities
4. Lead Generation and Outreach
   • Research and identify prospective customers, particularly restaurant locations not currently in the customer base
   • Conduct cold calls to introduce the company’s products and services
   • Forward opportunities to the outside sales team for further action

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in sales support, customer service, or related roles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer
• Occasional lifting of items up to 15 pounds
• Collaborative office environment with regular communication with outside sales staff and other departments
