Title-Inside/Outside Research Worker
Location-Princeton,IN,USA,47670
Duration- 3 weeks contract 
Hours are flexible but should fall between normal operating hours of 7:30am and 4:00pm
Start ASAP
Weekly Schedule (how many hours/days): Flexible – would love to have someone willing to work close to 40 hours
Shift Times: 7:30-4:00 pm is normal – but could be up to 5 pm depending on that day's workload and availability of staff
Any exposure to common allergens? Plant allergens (Corn/Soybean/Wheat)

Critical skills:
  • Must be detail orientated
  • Basic computer knowledge & navigational skills
  • Have a basic understanding of written and spoken English preferred
  • Communicate effectively with supervisor.
  • Ability tofollow standard operating procedures
  • Ability tofollow safety procedures
Other information:
  • Employees will have one 15 minute break for each 4 hours worked
  • Lunches are limited to 30 minutes per full shift.
  • This assignment is not a temp-to-hire position.
Duties & Responsibilities (may include any or all of the following):
  • Harvest plant materialaccording to defined protocol
  • Research Plot Maintenance
  • Discarding Seed
  • Field Data Collection
  • General Housekeeping
Expectations of employment:
  • Able to complete repetitive tasks for long periods of time
  • Be self-motivated and possess a positive attitude
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Willingness to travel
  • Willingness to work more than 8 hours a day (part of your day will be spend traveling to offsite locations)
  • Have schedule availability (Must be able to work from early morning until the evening)
  • Ability to work aroundsoybeans, corn, pollen, and dust for long periods of time
  • Ability towork outdoors in different weather conditions
  • Work well with team members
  • Ability to walk/stand/crouch for several hours at a time
  • Need to be able and willing to walk on uneven ground
  • Need to be able to work at different height levels (overhead and ground level)
  • Workers are expected to be on time when scheduled
  • Must have a reliable means to work
  • Employees will be asked to make/receive personal phone calls during their breaks unless it's an emergency
  • Workers are expected to meet minimum performance standards.
  • Workers will follow all defined COVID protocols
Other preferred skills:
  • Display a competency to perform accurate work in a repetitive motion environment
Inside Research Worker (Typically Winter/Spring)
  • Duties & Responsibilities (may include any or all of the following):
  • Receiving andsorting incoming seed
  • Hand or machine counting seed by experiment prior to planting
  • Sorting seed packets for planting and for shipping
  • Shelling/Threshingcrops
  • Conditioning seed
  • Ability to use Research equipment
  • Applying seed treatment
  • General housekeeping
Expectations of employment:
  • Able to complete repetitive tasks for long periods of time
  • Be self-motivated and possess a positive attitude
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Workers are expected to be on time when scheduled
  • Hours may vary with work days occasionally lasting more than 8 hours.
  • Must have a reliable means to work
  • May be asked to work with seed treatments
  • May be asked to lift up to 50 Lbs.
  • Must be able to stand 8 hours a day
  • Ability to work in dusty environment
  • Employees will be asked to make/receive personal phone calls during their breaks unless it's an emergency
  • Workers are expected to meet minimum performance standards.
  • Workers will follow all defined COVID protocols
Other preferred skills:
  • Display a competency to perform accurate work in a repetitive motion environment Experience usingBarcode Scanners preferred
  • Warehouse, distribution, shipping, or inventory experience helpful
