As an Interventional Vascular Technologist, you will provide technicalassistance in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures. Some of your responsibilities will includeacquiring images, processingimages and providing emergency on callassistance. 
 

A caregiver in this positionworksdays, from 9:00am—5:30pm. This is a PRN position.

 
A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

• Utilize sterile or aseptic technique to scrub in and perform vascular,interventional, and surgical procedures per protocol. 

• Educate patientsregarding procedures,equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. 

• Ensure patients safety and comfort during and after exams. 

• Demonstrate understanding of primary purpose of drugs used in IR, indications, contraindications, contrast druginteractions and major effects. 

• Record andmaintain procedural data to include injection data, elapsed fluoroscopic time and procedural information. 

• Monitor equipment, systems, cleanequipment, and effectstimely repair. 

• Learn new technical information and skills through attendance of periodic in-service programs and participation in professional affiliation sessions. 

 
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

• Graduateof an accredited school of radiologic technology  

• Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing  

• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist  

• Basic Life Support certification  

 
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

• One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist 

• Knowledge of radiologic physics and computerized vascular equipment, so as to safely inject and image human vascular anatomy

• Knowledge of vascular anatomy and pathology sufficient to apply to interventional and diagnostic exams 

• Knowledgeable of sterile technique with ability to create andmaintain sterile environment 

• Ability to function well with minimal to no supervision, especially duringafter hours call-in emergency service

Physical Requirements:

• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.

• Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
