Associate Lawyer- Banking & Finance

Our client, a leading multi-disciplinary law firm providing tailored legal services across all practice areas, is currently looking for an ambitiousLawyerto join their Banking & Finance Team.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop a specialist finance practice, working on high-quality client matters and learning directly from a senior partner in an open-door, hands-on mentoring environment.

This is ahybrid role offering a salary ofup to €50K.

Role & Responsibilities

• Manage banking and finance transactions, including lender and borrower-side work

• Advise on corporate, project, and asset finance matters

• Draft and review security arrangements, financing documentation, and legal opinions

• Conduct due diligence, refinancing, transaction support, and client advice, managing files from inception to completion

• Act as the point of contact between clients, financial institutions, and other advisers

• Track legal and regulatory developments across Malta and the EU relevant to finance, ensuring clients and the firm stay up to date

Education, Skills & Experience

• Genuine interest in banking and finance

• Solid foundation in Corporate and Civil Law

• Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical abilities

• Commercially minded, with a practical and solutions-driven approach

• Fluency in English and Maltese both written and spoken

• Proactive mindset and a collaborative team player

• Experience in banking, finance, corporate finance, financial services, or transactional work is a plus
