Schedule: Monday - Friday, Days and Evening hours available until roughly 6pm
SUMMARY:

Edna Tina Wilson Living Center is a 120-bed skilled nursing facility located in North Greece, NY. The Edna Tina Wilson Living Center uses an innovative neighborhood design, with resident rooms clustered around the activity center and the living and dining areas, to promote social and interactive living.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluation & Planning - Perform a completeinitial evaluation of referred patient; develop and implement treatment plans, includingappropriate short- and long-term goals; involve the patient,family and staff in the implementation of the treatment program; re-evaluate patient functional status progressively; advance patient toward maximal performance and functional independence.
Documentation -Maintain a complete documentation of patient evaluations, treatment,progress and discharge status; send required information toappropriate professionals.
Collaboration - Activelyparticipate in rehabilitation team efforts to meet patient needs, including counseling and teaching patient and family, discussing changes in treatment programs with MDs, coordinating healthcare plans with other involvedprofessionals andassisting in discharge planning asappropriate.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders (may be MA, MS, Med).
New York State licensureORFor recent graduates: Completion of at least 9 months supervised Clinical Fellowship year OREligible toparticipate in supervised Clinical Fellowship year by a NYS licensed Speech Language Pathologist with a NYS Limited permit and followed by the NYS licensure examination and achievement of NYS license.
PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS:
One (1) year experience with frail elderly population preferred.
Compassionate,warm and patient focused.
Excellent organization and planning skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Light - Clinical - Light clinical roles involve frequent standing and walking, with occasional lifting of light objects (≤20 lbs.) and routine reaching, grasping, and fine manipulation for tasks such as patient care, laboratory work, or specimen processing. Staff rely on strong visual and auditory acuity to accurately observe specimens, read instrumentation, monitor patients, respond to alarms, and communicate effectively with care teams. Cognitive demands include multitasking, prioritizing clinical and laboratory workflows, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams. Emotional resilience is necessary due to frequent interruptions, shifting priorities, and the need for precise and compassionate interaction with patients and colleagues. Environmental exposures may include infectious materials, biological specimens, cleaning agents, sharps, chemical reagents, and wet surfaces. PPE use, TB testing, and schedule flexibility are commonly required.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.
