Role SummaryA high performing individual contributor who acts as a mentor to more junior engineers, applies new engineering principles to improve existing systems, and is responsible for leading complex, well-defined projects.Experience5+ years for Bachelor's3+ years for Master'sEducation• Maintained an enhanced project/product in a production environment in public/hybrid cloud infrastructure.• Implemented software solutions to configure infrastructure with code.• Bachelor's or Master's or equivalent experience.• Technical degree preferred.Functional/ Technical Skills• Understands how projects/teams interact with other teams.• Understands and designs moderately complex systems.• Has strength in more than one language and/or technology implementations.• Identifies strengths and weaknesses among languages for particular use cases.• Is familiar with two data stores or APIaccess patterns and integration.• Selects among technology available to implement and solve for need.• Broad infrastructure knowledge plus at least one area of expertise.• Thorough working knowledge of automating infrastructure and configuration management.• Proficient in configuring, operating, and automating cloud IaaS infrastructure (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP).• Understanding of how team goals fit a business need.• Ability to identify business problems at the project level and provide solutions.• Understands OS, system and code testing tools.• Tests, debugs, and fixes issues within established SLAs.• Diagnoses infrastructure problems and troubleshoots complex issues across multiple interdependent systems.• Brings together different stakeholders with varied perspectives to develop solutions to issues, and contributes own suggestions.• Thinks holistically to identify opportunities around policies/ processes to increase efficiency across organizational boundaries.• Assists with a whole systems approach to analyzing issues by ensuring all components (structure, people, process and technology) are identified and accounted for.• Gathers pertinent information about a problem by analyzing data, patterns and identifying underlying issues.• Researches and recommends more detailed solutions to resolve problems.• Implements solutions based on advanced knowledge of standard practices and previous experiences; escalates complex or unprecedented issues and needed.• Develops and tests complex or non-routine software applications and related programs and procedures to ensure they meet design requirements.• Improve code to automate troubleshooting steps.• Analyzes requirements and assists with the design of architecture. • Researches information, data, trends, and best practices in emerging technology and shares beneficial information with relevant stakeholders.• Demonstrates knowledge of advanced and relevant technology.• Exhibits comfort working with several forms of technology.• Understands the relationship between applications, databases, and technology platforms. • Automates routine systems administration responsibilities, following and improving established policies and procedures.• Escalation point for Individual Contributor I, and II for correcting identified issues.• Confirms comprehension and understanding of complex information (e.g., legal, operational risk, and regulatory data) by correctly and clearly answering routine questions.• Creates clear, concise and organized communication materials (e.g., policies & procedures, guidelines, presentations, messages).• Considers and understands the audience’s specific needs and comprehension level to determine the most appropriate message and delivery method, limiting or explaining technical language.• Proactively partners with peers across the organization to build an understanding of cross dependencies and shared problem solving.• Participates in a community of practice to share and gain knowledge.• Continually seeks new technical skills in an engineering area.• Shares new skills and knowledge with team to increase effectiveness.The total cash range for this position in Prague is Kč1,077,000.00 to Kč1,507,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to Kč1,723,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
