Indigo Premier Research Mentor

Indigo Research provides a unique opportunity to mentor highly motivated high school students from around the world, helping them learn about academic research and complete a college-level project. Our program offers high-quality research mentorship to aspiring students from diverse backgrounds, with the goals of giving them valuable experience in academic research and making a significant impact on their future academic and professional careers.

We're looking to connect withcurrent faculty members at top 15 US or top 10 UK universities who would enjoy sharing their academic expertise and helping young people discover what they're capable of.

As an Indigo Research Mentor, you'll work remotely with high school students from around the world, supporting them as they turn their interests into a research project of their own. This could involve exploring a new question, making sense of existing literature, developing an argument, or working towards a research paper or other academic output.

More than simply teaching a subject, you'll help students learn how to think critically, ask better questions, and approach challenges with greater independence. You don't need to have all the answers; what matters is your ability to guide students through the process and make academic research an engaging and rewarding experience.

Qualifications:

• Currently hold a faculty position at a top 15 university in the US or a top 10 university in the UK.

• Have strong subject knowledge and can help students explore a research topic with academic depth and rigour.

• Enjoy mentoring and are patient, empathetic, and encouraging when working with high school students.

• Are comfortable working with students from different cultural and educational backgrounds.

• Are open to feedback and willing to adapt their approach to each student's needs.

• Can work independently, exercise sound judgment, and are comfortable in a collaborative, evolving startup environment.
