About The Job:

• The Application Management Specialist is responsible for delivering application services to workstation environments, including application discovery, packaging, deployment, distribution, troubleshooting, and software installation automation.
• This role supports application lifecycle management by creating and maintaining deployment packages, automating software distribution, and ensuring reliable application delivery to end-user devices.
• We are seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer with 10+ years of experience in Application Production Support, Incident Management, Change Management, Automation, and Service Operations.
• The candidate will be responsible for ensuring application availability, operational stability, service resilience, and continuous improvement across mission-critical platforms.

Essential Job Functions:
Application Management & Software Distribution

• Perform application discovery, packaging, deployment, and distribution activities across enterprise workstation environments.
• Create and maintain software deployment packages.
• Develop scripts and automation solutions to install and configure software remotely on client devices.
• Troubleshoot application deployment and installation issues.
• Support application lifecycle management and software compliance initiatives.

Application Operations

• Perform 24x7 monitoring of application clusters, services, APIs, and production environments.
• Monitor batch jobs and ensure successful job orchestration and execution.
• Identify and remediate job failures, timeouts, and service disruptions.
• Manage production configurations and resolve environment drift issues.
• Conduct detailed troubleshooting through log analysis and collaborate with L3 teams for issue resolution.
• Ensure application availability, stability, performance, and resilience.
• Support service restoration and recovery during critical production incidents.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs.

Incident, Change & Service Management

• Manage and resolve incidents, service interruptions, and production issues.
• Participate in problem management activities including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support change management processes, release implementations, and production deployments.
• Ensure compliance with organizational service management and operational governance standards.
• Coordinate with multiple technology and business teams during issue resolution and service restoration activities.

Automation & Engineering

• Develop automation solutions using scripting and programming languages.
• Improve operational efficiency through tooling, monitoring, and process automation.
• Support DevOps practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Implement proactive monitoring and alerting to improve application reliability.

Qualifications:
Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Application Production Support and Service Operations.
• Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise applications.
• Experience working within Financial Services and Banking environments preferred.
• Experience supporting global operations and follow-the-sun support models.
