About The Job:

• Build and optimize batch/file-based ELT pipelines that source approved data from Snowflake and create curated Databricks/UDAP data products using SQL, Python, Spark, PySpark, and Delta patterns.
• Design scalable and reliable data engineering solutions aligned to enterprise data platform standards.

Essential Job Functions:

• Build and optimize batch/file-based ELT pipelines that source approved data from Snowflake and create curated Databricks/UDAP data products using SQL, Python, Spark, PySpark, and Delta patterns.
• Implement NADP transformations, business rules, entity relationships, source-to-target mappings, reusable framework components, and metadata-driven processing.
• Apply automated data-quality checks, reconciliation controls, exception handling, restartability, logging, monitoring, and pipeline observability.
• Implement Unity Catalog and Snowflake Horizon-aligned metadata, lineage, access controls, masking/tokenization, and PHI-safe engineering practices.
• Create unit and component tests, support defect resolution, tune pipeline and query performance, and promote code through approved CI/CD and release processes.
• Produce technical documentation, deployment artifacts, runbooks, known limitations, and knowledge-transfer materials for Humana support and governance teams.

Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Spark, and PySpark.
• Experience building and optimizing ELT/ETL pipelines in Snowflake and Databricks environments.
• Knowledge of Delta Lake architecture and data engineering best practices.
• Experience with data quality frameworks, reconciliation processes, monitoring, and observability.
• Understanding of metadata management, data lineage, Unity Catalog, and Snowflake Horizon.
• Experience implementing access controls, data masking, tokenization, and PHI-compliant data solutions.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes, version control, automated testing, and release management.
• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and defect resolution capabilities.
• Excellent documentation and knowledge transfer skills.
