The Impact Coordinator serves as a critical member of the Community Impact Department, and works closely with multiple key impact initiatives and  teams to design, implement, administer, and track current and future programming and products to drive measurable impact aligned with United Way of Metropolitan Dallas pillars of Education, Income, Health, and Capacity Building

The ideal candidate must be a solution focused self-starter who can conceptualize and develop plans for programming execution that yield impactful outcomes. This position requires excellent relational skills and the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects. The successful candidate will have a goal-oriented focus, growth mindset, acute attention to detail, and a passion for driving measurable impact in Education, Income, and Health across Southern Dallas & North Texas.

The Coordinator position will have the unique opportunity to provide high level support aimed at improving the implementation of UWMD’s existing place-based impact initiatives (Southern Dallas Thrives & Hamilton Park Thrives), in addition to assisting with new innovations and partnerships. This role will serve in a cross functional capacity, working to support multi-faceted corporate-community initiatives and coordinating teams. The position will be responsible for providing high level administrative support & tracking impact data/goals/metrics, including managing activities, engaging stakeholders, and implementing program activities. Other responsibilities include overseeing the successful completion of projects and events in a high demand environment. The Coordinator will perform specialized tasks, manage deadlines and progress across the team to ensure timely completion, and oversee the delivery of projects at a high standard.

The Coordinator will have deep knowledge of and excellent administrative skill sets, and possess the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously that continuously drives high level results. Working as part of a team, the Coordinator will track and report on initiative outcomes, and ensure that place-based initiatives are reaching overall UWMD goals. The Coordinator partners, completes, analyzes, reviews, and structures the needs and projects of the initiatives through high level implementation and project management aligned with UWMD’s community impact efforts. The Coordinator will report to the Vice President, Southern Dallas Thrives, who will provide the guiding strategy and continued oversight of all programs.

 

The candidate will help lead United Way’s efforts to maintain and grow recognition as a visionary thought leader in Community Impact, resulting in:

  •  Work with applicable internal & external teams to develop measurable outcomes in southern & UWMD service area communities through targets that aid in impacting lives in the areas of education, income, health, and capacity building for North Texas
  •  Inspiring collective collaborations between communities, municipalities, non-profit organizations, services providers, and funders to aid in the continued growth and expansion of targeted placed-based initiatives; and
  • Supporting administrative, program operations, and event efforts by helping create innovative opportunities for donors to invest in impact, and staff to support continuous improvement of existing UWMD initiatives as well as the rollout of new endeavors.

Qualifications

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Program & Partner Engagement

  • This role strengthens existing relationships and coordination through programming & event support by way of both administering and implementing various aspects of programmatic scope in collaboration with both internal and external partners.  
  • Coordinate efforts, supportive services, resources, and program operations as appropriate with external  partners and collaborators through providing program reports, updates, metric indicators, and target analysis.
  • Work in collaboration with community partners to facilitate program expansion and achieve initiative goals.
  • Manage deadlines and progress across teams to ensure that all projects and tasks are delivered within a timely manner. Facilitate all administrative needs of the team and all affiliated programs (ie Southern Dallas Thrives & Hamilton Park Thrives) adjusting as necessary to ensure all outputs are delivered with high standards.
  • Track and report on program participant outcomes, program goals, initiative targets, and organizational metrics. Conducts regular analyses of initiative progress, processes, and procedures.

 

 

Program Operations Coordination

  • Coordinate, implement, and track current and future operations, contractual agreements, procedures, and projects that support Southern Dallas & Hamilton Park Thrives teams and programs.
  • Input, track, and maintain all related programmatic impact data & tracking system for Southern Dallas & Hamilton Park Thrives programs (and/or other programs as required) and partner collaboratives in the areas of education, income, health, and capacity building.
  • Coordinate, administer, and implement initiative events alongside partners, including volunteer engagement opportunities and specialized corporate community based gatherings and events.
  • Support the efforts of developing and implementing UWMD’s impact goals, programs, collaborations, and methodology. 

 

Activation & Events Coordination

  • Serve as the coordination lead for assigned impact programs, and affiliated activations, on-site partner engagements, and collaborative occasions where applicable.
  • Serve and the lead coordination support, including data and impact tracking, program expansions/adjustments, and partner support for targeted place-based goals and outcomes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:Bachelor’s degree required; degrees in urban planning, Public Administration, Business Administration, Communications, or related fields preferred.

EXPERIENCE:  A minimum of5 years of work experience required. Master’s degree may substitute for two years of experience.  Background in program development and management, business administration, and/or non-profit management strongly desired.

  • Knowledgeable of community resources, business administration, and non-profit management
  • Ability to work as part of a team while being self-directed, equipped with ability to complete tasks individually.
