MICA seeks a filmmaking professional with a minimum of five years experience in impact producing and marketing to teach a 1.5-credit course on creating and delivering the electronic press kit (EPK).

Instruction will include how the EPK is required for participation in most film festivals, four wall distribution, theatricals and is also crucially important for community/grassroots screenings. Instruction will include the creation, editing and distillation of the director’s statement, logline, synopses, film lineage, filmmaker’s biography, artistic statements, and a press release in relationship to the student’s thesis film.

FILM 5825 is an in-person, 1.5 credit course that runs the second half of MICA’s spring semester.

The ideal candidate will have an MFA or doctorate degree that addressees the branding and marketing of film.
