JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Penn State Alumni Association isseeking atalented and experienced multimedia designer.Thispart-timeposition will be situated within the Marketing and Operations unit at thealumniassociation and will involveproviding designs to support the alumni association’s mission of connecting alumni to the University and to each other,provide valued services to members, and support the University’s mission of teaching,research, and service. 

Responsibilities include: 

• Work within project teams tounderstand marketing goals and audience needsand translate requirementsinto effective design solutions. 

• Conceptualize, develop, and produce design solutions that meet project goals across a range of platforms including websites, social media, email, digital banner ads, presentations, and print channels. 

• Provide updates to existing visual designs including resizing graphics for use on new platforms. 

• Understand University and Penn State Alumni Association brand standards and adhereto and reinforce standards within design work to ensure brand consistency. 

• Coordinate design reviews andrespond to feedback throughout the review process whilemaintaining best practices. 

Qualified candidates willbe creative professionals with the ability to succeedon cross-functional, fast-paced teams with multiple deadlines,stakeholders and complexity. ABachelor's degree and at least two years of experience inmultimediadesign or an equivalent combination of education and experience isrequired in addition to demonstrableexperience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Candidatesshouldprovide alink to a digitalportfolio for review as part of their application.
