GEA Group is searching for a Field Service Technician III to join our Central Region Service Team! The Field Service Technician III performs routine maintenance, warranty work, and minor repairs to a variety of industrial equipment products and packages without supervision.
Responsibilities:
Responds to customer requests and field dispatches.
Meets with customer at site to go over the nature of the service or repair.
Provide advanced technical support and performs advanced troubleshooting to the compressor package.
Provide advanced technical support and performs advanced troubleshooting on electrical & control systems.
Provide advanced technical support and performs advanced troubleshooting of refrigeration system.
Performs retrofitting of industrial control panels across multiple manufacturers.
Completes the routine maintenance or repair, in accordance with ANSI/IIAR-6 2019, as applicable.
Inspects machinery to confirm proper working order.
Provides preventative measure suggestions.
Discusses work completed with customer.
Submits all time sheets, expense reports (within 30 days), service tickets, start-up reports, inspection reports, and other
required paperwork within the required timeframe.
Perform after-hours telephone troubleshooting support.
Proficiently train customers on the operation of the equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Your Profile / Qualifications
High school diplomaor GED required
Technical school certification inrefrigeration or similar field;preferred
RETA CIRO Certification; preferred
7-10 years of industrial refrigeration experience required
Capable of reading P&IDs andelectrical schematics.
Thorough knowledge of therefrigeration cycle.
Knowledge of the major componentspertaining to a refrigeration system.
Advanced knowledge of screw andpiston type compressors and theirpackages.
Advanced working knowledge ofelectrical systems, wiring, andcontrol schemes.
Advanced working knowledge ofindustrial control panels.
Advanced working knowledge ofrefrigeration systems and allperipherals, including componentsoutside of the GEA scope.
Knowledge of ANSI/IIAR-6 2019 andcapable of adhering to its standards.
ANSI / IIAR-6 certification requiredor must be able to obtaincertification within 1 year.
EPA 608 universal certification;preferred.
Ability to travel 90% of the time.
The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $47.43 - 53.20 per hour. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
