Purpose of the Role 

The Director, Investor Practiceis responsible forshaping and scaling investor action across Asia to accelerate the transition to a net zero, climate-resilient and nature-positive economies. 

This role leads AIGCC’s efforts to: 

• Accelerate investor
  best practiceacross Asian markets 

• Increase investments and allocation towards
  climatetransition,resilience and nature 

• Strengthen AIGCC’sinvestor network across Asia andadvocate Asian viewsglobally  

Key Accountabilities 

Designing and delivering various thematic workstreams and collaborate with the Director of Stewardship and Director of Policy for cross-disciplinary projects. 

1. Investor Practice & Program Delivery 

Design and oversee execution of keyworkstreams, including: 

• Asset Owners –for asset ownersacross Asiato accelerate understanding and scale climate-related investments 

• Nature and Land Use - to support investor engagement on commodity-driven deforestation and nature loss in Asia, andfacilitate policy dialogue  

• Paris-Aligned Investments -understanding theAsia investor landscape and develop Asia focused implementation guidelines, includingannualprogressreportof 200+ Asian investors  

• GlobalInvestorInitiatives–to drive global alignmentvia regional adaptation of theNet Zero Investment Framework, Net Zero Asset Managers and Paris Aligned Asset Owner’s programs. 

• Oversee market-specificprioritiesto drive investor practice inJapan, China, Korea,Indiaand Southeast Asian markets.
  
  

2. Market Influence & External Engagement 

• Position AIGCC as athought leader and convenoracross Asian markets  

• Identify researchaddressing investor needs and market gaps  

• Oversee production offlagship annualreportonstate of investor climate action, along with other reports and insights  

• Manage external research partnerships to deliverhigh-quality, actionable outputs  

• Investor outreach, regularbriefings and/or webinars on key topics to build the capacity of investor membersand increaseparticipation in various investor practiceworkstreams  

• Promote AIGCC’s vision and goals through multiple communication channels, includingrepresenting
  AIGCC in forums and public events, asrequired. 
  
  

3. Management & Leadership 

• Develop and lead AIGCC’sInvestor Practice Strategy  

• Manage andoverseeInvestor Practiceteam, anddefine priorities to maximise impact

• Collaborate with other Directors toidentify investor needs 

• GrowAIGCC membershipand partnershipsto scale Investor Practice work.

4. Funding & Strategic Partnerships 

• Identify and securephilanthropic and strategic funding to scale investor practicewith the Directorate and Philanthropy Manager 

• Build long-term partnerships with funders and aligned institutions  

Qualifications & Experience 

• 15+ years’ experience ininvestment, finance, or related fields, ideally with climate or sustainability focus 

• Strong understanding ofinvestments and Asian capital markets isa must 

• Experience leadingcomplex, multi-stakeholder initiatives across regions  

• Proven ability tooperate atstrategic and executive levels

• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills  

• Strong commercial acumen, includingfunding and partnership development
