IFS Systems Manager / Architect
Location: Fort Worth, TX โ On-site preferred; remote considered for an exceptional candidate

Position Summary
Our client, a growing MEP contractor, is seeking an IFS Systems Manager / Architect to own its IFS Cloud ERP platform. This role combines platform ownership, solution architecture, and internal consulting across Finance, HR, Field Service Management, and Projects.
The successful candidate will manage the IFS roadmap, lead upgrades, improve reporting and integrations, and build internal expertise to reduce reliance on external partners.
Responsibilities
- Own the IFS Cloud lifecycle, including annual upgrade planning, go-live, hypercare, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the solution architect for IFS initiatives, translating business requirements into scalable solutions across Finance, HR, Field Service Management, and Projects.
- Lead planning and execution of the 26R1 upgrade and establish a predictable annual upgrade cycle.
- Manage the IFS product roadmap and Jira backlog, prioritizing support issues, optimization, and new capabilities based on business needs.
- Partner with IFS Professional Services and advisory partners to resolve root causes and ensure knowledge transfer.
- Drive IFS reporting through Power BI, including dashboard development, evaluation of IFS Lobby migration options, and coordination with the data and analytics team.
- Govern and expand Boomi integrations connecting IFS Cloud with other business systems.
- Mentor a Junior Support Analyst and develop standard operating procedures, escalation paths, and support documentation.
- Participate in steering committee governance, sprint reviews, and vendor service-level tracking.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of hands-on IFS ERP experience, with functional depth across Finance, HR, Field Service Management, and Projects.
- Proven IFS Cloud experience and strong knowledge of how configurations, customizations, and upgrades interact within a cloud-managed environment.
- Experience leading or supporting IFS version upgrades, including change management, regression testing, and cutover planning.
- Proficiency with Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, acceptance criteria, and issue tracking.
- Working experience with Power BI, including dashboard development and connections to IFS data sources.
- Familiarity with integration platforms; Boomi experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate technical solutions clearly to business leaders and technical teams.
- Experience working with IFS Professional Services or certified implementation partners.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
First-Year Priorities
- Establish yourself as the internal IFS subject matter expert.
- Plan, resource, and initiate the 26R1 upgrade before year-end.
- Resolve and document outstanding issues from the original implementation.
- Deliver Power BI dashboards and replace manual IFS Lobby workarounds where approved.
- Enable the Junior Support Analyst to handle Tier 1 and Tier 2 tickets independently.
- Reduce reliance on external advisory services.
- Establish a documented, audit-ready annual upgrade process.
