About the Team

Our Network Architecture & Engineering (A&E) team owns the technology standards, reference architectures, and first-build execution for all network and network-security infrastructure across the organization. We operate fully remote across US time zones and are now extending globally to support the company's expansion into India. This hire is the first member of that global extension.

A&E sits above operations: we design and execute the first build of every major network deployment, then hand off to NOC and operational teams. We also serve as Tier 3 escalation for complex technology problems that NOC cannot resolve within standard runbooks.

About the Role

As Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer — India, you will be the hands-on execution anchor for our India office buildouts and the primary Tier 3 escalation resource for India-based NOC staff during India business hours. You will commission greenfield office networks to corporate standards, own in-country vendor and contractor coordination, and work directly alongside the US-based A&E team to extend our delivery capability across time zones.

This is an execution-focused role, not an architecture role. You will implement and operationalize solutions designed by the A&E team, identify gaps during deployment, and feed ground-truth feedback back into standards. You will be expected to act with a high degree of autonomy in-country while remaining closely aligned with US team direction.

Key Responsibilities

Office Network Deployment & Standards

• Commission greenfield office networks across India locations, including MDF/IDF build-out to corporate standards

• Deploy and configure Aruba wireless (APs, controllers, Aruba Central) and Aruba switching infrastructure

• Implement and validate SilverPeak (Aruba EdgeConnect) SD-WAN at each India site, including connectivity back to AWS US-East where corporate assets reside

• Manage local in-country challenges specific to India office builds — ISP coordination, last-mile issues, regulatory compliance, and vendor/contractor oversight

• Maintain and enforce IDF/MDF physical and logical standards across all India locations

Client-Side & Security Stack Execution

• Execute and validate Zscaler ZIA and ZDX deployments for India user populations

• Ensure Zscaler ZDX synthetic monitoring is in place and baselined for all India offices

• Support Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) implementation and ongoing integrity in India office environments

• Work with the US team to onboard India sites into Kentik for observability, traffic visibility, and synthetic monitoring

Tier 3 Escalation Support

• Serve as the A&E Tier 3 escalation point for India NOC staff during India business hours — on-demand, no formal rotation

• Handle escalated technology problems outside standard NOC runbooks, primarily oriented around: Firewall policy and troubleshooting, WAF configuration and incident response, Proxy (Zscaler ZIA) issues requiring A&E-level depth

• Document resolution steps and feed durable fixes back into NOC runbooks and A&E standards

Automation & Infrastructure as Code

• Apply IaC practices (Terraform, Git) to network provisioning and configuration management in line with US team standards

• Contribute Python automation for operational tasks, configuration validation, and network telemetry

• Participate in CI/CD pipeline workflows using GitHub, CodeCommit, and CodePipeline as used by the broader A&E team

Cross-Team Collaboration

• Coordinate with US-based A&E architects to translate designs into India-specific deployments

• Provide ground-truth feedback from in-country deployments to inform and improve corporate network standards

• Travel to India office locations as required throughout the year for site evaluations, buildouts, and audits

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on enterprise network engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead execution role

• Strong working knowledge of Aruba wireless and switching platforms (Aruba Central, APs, CX/AOS-S switching)

• Hands-on experience with SD-WAN — SilverPeak (Aruba EdgeConnect) strongly preferred; comparable platform experience (Cisco Viptela, Versa, VeloCloud) considered

• Production experience with Zscaler ZIA and ZDX — deployment, policy management, and troubleshooting strongly preferred

• Solid foundation in enterprise routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, VLAN architecture, QoS)

• Experience commissioning office networks including physical MDF/IDF build-out, structured cabling coordination, and ISP turn-up

• Demonstrated ability to work independently across time zones with minimal daily supervision — this role reports to a US-based manager

• Strong written and spoken English — cross-functional communication with US stakeholders is a daily requirement

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: CCNP Enterprise, Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP), Zscaler Certified Associate / Professional, or equivalent

• Experience with Kentik for network visibility, monitoring, and synthetic testing

• Familiarity with AWS networking (VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway) — AWS US-East is the corporate connectivity target for India sites

• Prior experience deploying networks in India specifically — understanding of local ISP landscape, data center options, and in-country compliance considerations

• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, AWS WAF, or Next-Generation Firewall platforms relevant to Tier 3 escalation work

• Working knowledge of Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) in enterprise office deployments

• Python scripting and infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform, Git) applied to network configuration and automation

• Jira for project tracking and documentation

Working Model

This is a fully remote position based in India. The role requires semi-frequent travel to India office locations throughout the year for site evaluations, greenfield commissioning, and infrastructure audits — specific frequency will be determined by the India expansion roadmap. Candidates based in or near Noida or Gurgaon are strongly preferred given current office concentration in the NCR region.

You will work primarily in India Standard Time (IST) but should expect regular overlap with US Eastern time for team sync, architecture reviews, and escalation handoffs.
