Join our Parent Pathways Hoppers Crossingteam,where you will play a key role in helping parentsidentify and reach their education and employment goals,ultimately contributing to their long-term economic security. ThisSenior Mentor position offers comprehensive support to parentswho may befacing complex challenges,deliveringanempowering andencouraging experience.   

The successful candidate willbe responsible for:  

  • Build trusted relationships acrossa caseload of participants, providing an elevated level of customer care and professional support,assisting in addressing more complex needs and barriers throughout theirjourney  

  • Foster meaningful interaction throughinitial and ongoing participant appointments, guiding them to achieve their goals and unique program objectives 

  • Identify and addressbarriers to employment through referral to relevant community support services and provideongoingmentoring  

  • Facilitate job placements with local employers for job-ready participants and provide continuous support to ensure lasting employment success  

  • Work both independently and collaboratively to exceed KPI targets, driving team and personal success 

  • Ensure all tasks are executed in full compliance with Department guidelines, legislative requirements, and organisational procedures and policies 

About you    

  • Relevantdiploma level qualifications in areas such asEmployment Services, Community Services orother relevant areasisrequired 

  • Previous experience in employment servicesor other relevant support services, including advanced barrier management, reverse marketing, placement of candidates into employment and provision of post-placement support and verification will be highlyregarded 

  • Relevant livedexperiencewould be highly valued, as it enriches our support for participants experiencing barriers, whilst navigating a complex system. Your personal journey will bring empathy, understanding, and empowerment to those weserve 

  • Demonstrated success in a high-performingworkplace with a strong commitment to high quality values based humanservices 

  • Advancedconflict resolution andproblem-solving skills 

  • Well-developed skills in customer service, coaching and administration 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication 

  • Strong computer literacy skills includingproficiency using MS Suite of programs 

  • Must hold a Driver’s licence and a Working with Children Check or relevant state equivalent (or are willing to apply for a WWCC)  

  • Applicants willbe required to undertake a policecheck, it is not mandatory to have a clear criminal history
