The OpportunityÂ
We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Business Technology & Transformation who is responsible for identifying and leading strategic, cross-functional initiatives to modernize business systems, drive operational improvements, implement innovation, and work with the leadership team and others to align technology with organizational growth objectives. The ideal candidate combines business acumen with hands-on technical experience in applications development, business systems transformation, systems integration, workflow automation, and business intelligence. This position will lead a team and play a key role in evaluating emerging technologies to ensure the organization invests in the right tools that drive efficiency, scalability, and competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Enabler of Business Growth –Transform business needs into actionable technology solutions; optimize enterprise platforms such as ERP, construction/fleet, etc.; lead cross-functional meetings, communication, and execution; be a trusted business and technical advisor to the leadership, support, and field teams; and evaluate, select, and implement applicable technologies for scale.
- Project Management & Delivery – Lead technology resources and “shadow IT” personnel in operational and strategic projects; create and execute project plans, timelines, testing protocol, issues lists/resolution, change management structures, and resource allocation (internally and/or externally as needed); and ensure projects are aligned with the company’s short-term and long-term business goals and are completed on-time and on-budget.
- Business Process Analysis & Continuous Improvement –Analyze workflows/processes and identify solutions to address gaps; and implement and/or consolidate technology tools to streamline operations
- Data Analysis & Reporting – Lead the enterprise effort for reporting, data collection, compliance and analysis (using a hub-and-spoke model of internal/external technology resources and “shadow IT” personnel who write specific reports); and provide intelligent data insights, dashboards and information to support strategic decisions and to satisfy customer requirements
Who We’re Looking For
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, Management, Construction, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 10 years of experience leading business transformation, process improvement, technology integration, or analysis with a minimum of five years in a managerial role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, project management expertise, change management, reporting/analytics, technical knowledge of system scoping, testing and integration tools.
- Experience with ERP, AI tools and application development (e.g., ViewPoint Vista, Tenna, Time Tracking systems).
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, SQL).
- MBA, PMP, Agile, or equivalent project management certification desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction workflows and project lifecycle preferred.
- Familiarity with mobile field data collection tools.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and willing-and-able to meet strict deadlines.
- Local to York, Pennsylvania (preferable) but with occasional travel to other offices, customer facilities, jobsites and yard locations for offsite meetings (flexibility to work from home when appropriate).
- A “can-do” attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
