About the Role
We are seeking aHardware & Software Validation Engineer to join our team. This role ensures the reliability, safety, and performance of both hardware components and embedded software systems used in commercial vehicles. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in validation testing, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and executevalidation plans for electronic hardware and embedded software systems.
- Performfunctional, environmental, and durability testing for hardware components and software features.
- ValidateECUs, sensors, wiring harnesses, and associated software for compliance with specifications and industry standards.
- Conductsoftware integration and regression testing to ensure system stability and performance.
- Analyze test data, identify issues, and provideroot cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Collaborate withdesign engineers, software developers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
- Document test procedures, results, and provide detailedtechnical reports.
- Supportcontinuous improvement initiatives for validation processes and tools.
- Ensure adherence tosafety and regulatory requirements throughout the validation process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 3β5 years of experience in hardware and software validation within automotive or heavy truck manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge ofembedded systems, ECUs, sensors, wiring harnesses, and related hardware/software.
- Familiarity withindustry standards (e.g., SAE, ISO) and validation methodologies.
- Experience withCAN bus, diagnostic tools, and software validation frameworks.
- Proficiency indata acquisition tools, test equipment, and debugging software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
