Summary:
- Schedule: 20-25 hours per week
- Work Mode: Onsite
- Location: Mission Center Building
Responsibilities:
- Deliver hands-on, face-to-face laboratory instruction in an 18-month program.
- Guide students through psychomotor and applied skills to achieve clinical competency.
- Facilitate small-group laboratory sessions, approximately six students each.
- Demonstrate and supervise both energized and non-energized laboratory practice.
- Reinforce radiation-safety and patient-care principles.
- Evaluate students' skill acquisition in a safe and well-supervised environment.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in radiologic technology or a related field (or equivalent experience/training).
- Current, unrestricted ARRT certification and registration in Radiography β R(R).
- Current California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) / state radiologic technology license.
- Current BLS/CPR certification for healthcare providers.
Preferred Skills:
- Applied clinical knowledge of radiographic positioning, equipment operation, image production, and patient-care skills.
- Knowledge of radiation-safety and patient-safety principles, including ALARA, shielding, collimation, infection control, and safe patient handling.
- Familiarity with JRCERT Standards applicable to laboratory instruction.
- Skill in demonstrating psychomotor techniques and evaluating students' skill acquisition with documented criteria.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for small-group instruction and feedback.
- Ability to manage a safe, organized, and equitable laboratory environment.
- Proficiency with standard office software and learning-management/clinical-tracking platforms.
