Pay Range
$41,600.00-$52,600.00 AnnualThis is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors.
TheHuman Resources Intern(Manufacturing Operations)will gain hands-on experience supporting HR functions within a manufacturing environment. This role provides exposure to both union and non-union facilities and offers opportunities to work on employee relations, labor relations, recruiting, training, employee engagement, compliance, and workforce analytics projects. The successful candidate will partner with HR professionals and operational leaders while developing an understanding of how Human Resources supports manufacturing operations and business success.
Your Day to Day:
· Support HR teams within manufacturing facilities on a variety of employee and business initiatives:
o Assist with hourly recruiting activities, including candidate screening, interview coordination, onboarding, and orientation.
o Participate in employee engagement and recognition programs and recommend improvements to enhance workforce morale and retention.
o Analyze workforce data and HR metrics, including turnover, absenteeism, staffing levels, and other key performance indicators.
o Support employee relations activities.
· Shadow HR professionals across multiple manufacturing facilities to gain exposure to a broad range of HR practices, challenges, and career opportunities.
· Gain exposure to labor relations activities in unionized facilities, including contract administration, grievance administration, and collective bargaining preparation.
· Assist with HR compliance, documentation, and records management.
· Participate in cross-functional HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Collaborate with plant leadership and HR teams to support workforce and business needs.
· Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
What You Bring to the Team:
· Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations, Psychology, or a related field.
· Completed at least sophomore year of undergraduate coursework.
· Strong interest in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, and/or Manufacturing Operations.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
· Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
· Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
· Analytical mindset with the ability to organize and interpret data.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
· Previous HR-related coursework, internship experience, manufacturing experience, or labor relations exposure is a plus.
· Willingness to travel periodically to manufacturing facilities in close proximity of location.
