This position is responsible for supporting Human Resources functions through accurate record keeping, facilitating new hire orientation, and preparing HR documentation. Duties include coordinating interviews, conducting phone screenings, processing employment verifications, and assisting with payroll-related HR issues. The role also involves managing workers' compensation claims and general HR administrative tasks. Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records, including applicant flow data and employee files.
Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding and employee orientation sessions.
Prepare new hire packets, job descriptions, and HR-related documentation.
Schedule interviews and coordinate calendars for hiring managers.
Conduct phone screenings for potential candidates and support weekly job posting updates.
Serve as the point of contact for wage and employment verifications.
Act as a liaison between payroll and HR to resolve employee pay issues.
Maintain supplies of HR forms and ensure mandated employment postings are current.
File and report workers' compensation claims in a timely manner.
Respond to general HR inquiries and assist with additional administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
Education: Associate’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience). In lieu of a degree, 5+ years of experience in a relevant administrative or HR support role will be considered.
Experience: 1–3 years in an HR support, recruiting coordination, or administrative position with exposure to HR processes.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; comfortable with database systems and applicant tracking software (ATS) is a plus.
People Skills: Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills; able to interact with employees, managers, and external partners at all levels.
Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities with a calm, professional demeanor.
Preferred Skills:
Experience within a manufacturing, defense, or aerospace setting preferred
Benefits:
Pay: $55,000-$100,000
