About You
You are an experienced HR generalist who enjoys being close to the business and providing practical, responsive advice to leaders and employees. You bring sound judgement, strong relationship-building skills and a genuine commitment to creating a positive employee experience.
You are comfortable managing day-to-day people matters across the full employee lifecycle, balancing competing priorities and handling sensitive matters with discretion. Collaborative and service-oriented, you will work effectively with the General Manager, operational leaders, and our HR team to deliver consistent, people-focused outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
- Proven experience in a Senior HR Advisory or HR Business Partner role
- Strong HR generalist experience across the full employee lifecycle
- Demonstrated experience providing practical advice and case support on employee relations, industrial relations and performance matters
- Experience supporting leaders in a fast-paced operational environment
- Sound knowledge of contemporary HR practices, employment legislation and relevant industrial instruments
- Strong communication, coaching, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to manage priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality and follow-through
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a national HR team
About the Role
This 12-month fixed-term maternity leave cover role will provide positive, proactive HR support and advice to the leaders, teams and employees of our Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures operation. Based in Adelaide or Sydney, you will help maintain continuity of high-quality HR service throughout the cover period.
Working closely with the General Manager, Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures, operational leaders and the broader HR team, you will provide practical advice across the full employee lifecycle and support a consistent, compliant and positive employee experience. This is an operational and advisory role focused on trusted partnership and effective delivery.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Provide day-to-day HR advice and support across recruitment, onboarding, development, performance, engagement, retention and offboarding
- Partner with the General Manager and operational leaders to deliver agreed people priorities and practical outcomes for employees and the business
- Build trusted relationships with leaders, employees and key stakeholders
- Coach leaders in applying HR policies, procedures and sound people practices
- Provide advice and case support on performance, conduct, grievances, employee relations and industrial relations matters, escalating complex or high-risk matters as appropriate
- Support recruitment, selection, offers and effective onboarding in partnership with Talent Acquisition and leaders
- Provide accurate people information and advice to support workforce planning, resourcing, turnover, leave and labour requirements
- Support employee development and engagement activities and follow through on agreed actions
- Prepare timely operational HR reporting and maintain accurate employee records, systems and documentation
- Handle sensitive employee information with discretion and confidentiality
The role involves HR office administration and travel as required.
