Hub Buyer – Hungary
Make an Impact Through Procurement
As a Hub Buyer, you’ll play a key role in supporting our Hungarian manufacturing operations and other ADM facilities  through effective purchasing, supplier management, and sourcing. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to secure the best value, manage risks, and ensure compliant and efficient procurement.
 
What You’ll Do
  • Manage purchase requests and purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with ADM policies.
  • Lead supplier negotiations and make commercial buying decisions.
  • Conduct RFQs, RFPs, and e-auctions to achieve competitive pricing and best value.
  • Identify and mitigate supply risks to support business continuity.
  • Maximize the use of global, regional, and local contracts and support strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide procurement guidance.
  • Monitor key procurement KPIs, including PO cycle time, on-time delivery, and compliance.
  • Manage supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, service, pricing, and contracts.
  • Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities and report savings.
  • Work with procurement tools including Maximo and Coupa.
 
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience (I was advised it gives a feeling a junior person is good enough, although I want a good reliable buyer rather than a totally junior someone. Shall we maybe say Extensive experience in procurement or smth like this?) in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, supply chain, or a related commercial role.
  • Experience in supplier negotiation and cost savings.
  • Strong commercial, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of the Procure-to-Pay process and procurement compliance.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced international environment.
  • Fluent Hungarian and English; additional European languages are an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and experience with ERP/procurement systems such as SAP, JDE, Maximo, or Coupa.
