DEPUTY COO & CHIEF RISK OFFICER– BROKERAGE, INVESTMENT AND WEALTH MANAGEMENT – BERMUDA – 10% TAX – HR333

About this opportunity

Our client is a financial services group seeking an experienced senior professional for its Bermuda office. This broad, hands-on role combines operational leadership, financial markets expertise and practical risk management. The role will provide direct support for the senior executive, progressive responsibility for key business activities and management succession, and leadership of the risk function. Key responsibilities include assisting with investment operations, trading, credit, treasury and client money management; developing and maintaining the risk framework; supporting the Risk Committee; assuming oversight of global tax reporting; and helping prepare the business for digital asset and next-generation trading infrastructure.

What you’ll need

• At least eight years of senior management experience in brokerage, investment management, wealth management, or a comparable regulated financial-services environment
• CFA charter holder
• Broad practical experience across international financial markets and operations, including trading, treasury, and credit, together with experience implementing risk and control frameworks
• Practical experience with blockchain-based digital asset trading and custody, together with an understanding of tokenization and its application to securities markets
• Strong commercial judgement, analytical ability, and leadership skills
• Experience working with regulators and across multiple jurisdictions is highly desirable
