HR Specialist-Recruiter

We believe our team is our greatest asset, and we’re looking for a skilled HR Specialist – Recruiter who has a background in sourcing and screening candidates, builds strong relationships, and is adept at managing multiple responsibilities.

The HR Specialist – Recruiter manages the recruitment process, from attracting and identifying qualified candidates to coordinating offers and supporting onboarding.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure a welcoming, responsive, and professional experience from someone’s first interaction with Lighthouse through their first days on the job.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle: Design job postings, post positions, source candidates, screen resumes, conduct initial phone interviews, coordinate interviews, and maintain timely, professional communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
• Collaborate with program leaders to define hiring requirements, streamline interview processes, and provide expert advice on hiring decisions.
• Partner with HR Business Partners and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate and employee information in Lighthouse’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
• Track recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, candidate pipeline activity, and recruiting source effectiveness.
• Coordinate offer letters and pre-employment requirements such as background checks.
• Ensure recruitment practices comply with applicable employment laws, equal employment opportunity requirements, and Lighthouse policies and procedures.
• Provide support for other HR functions as needed, including onboarding, employee records, reporting, and employee relations.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field.
• At least three years of human resources experience that includes full-cycle recruiting, including  experience sourcing, interviewing, and hiring candidates across multiple functions or departments.
• Working knowledge of HR practices, employment regulations, and recruiting best practices.
• Experience using applicant tracking systems, HR information systems, and common recruiting platforms.
• Ability to successfully manage multiple open positions and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, project management, and organizational skills.
• A high level of professionalism, confidentiality, ethical practice, and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including employee relations, performance management, compensation practices, diversity and inclusion, and applicable federal and state employment laws.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
• Four or more years of professional human resources experience.
• SHRM or HRCI professional certification.
• Experience with high-volume recruiting.
• Experience developing candidate sourcing strategies and talent pipelines.
• Familiarity with recruiting analytics, reporting tools, and applicant tracking systems.

Work Environment

This hybrid position includes both remote and in-office work.
