Simond Private School is seeking a dynamic and passionate English Teacher to inspire and guide learners across Grades 8–12.

The ideal candidate is a committed educator who combines strong subject expertise with innovative teaching methods, effectively integrating technology to enhance learning. Beyond the classroom, the teacher plays a vital role in learner development, assessment, and meaningful engagement with parents and colleagues.

This position calls for a values-driven professional who demonstrates integrity and resilience, and actively contributes to the broader school community through co-curricular involvement and collaborative teamwork.

Commencement date: 1 August 2026

Teaching Load: 85%

Minimum Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in English Education.
  • SACE registration – essential.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ teaching experience in English Education (IEB experience advantageous).
  • Strong classroom management and learner engagement skills.
  • Proficient in integrating technology into teaching.
  • Police clearance and clearance from the National Register for Sex Offenders (NRSO).
  • Commitment to Simond Private School’s Christian ethos and educational philosophy

Beneficial, in addition to Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience 
  • Experience in working with parents is advantageous
  • Co-curricular activities, example Sport
