Introduction
We are seeking an experienced professional for a six-month contract assignment to support a significant workforce transition and a series of high-priority HR special projects. This role will play a critical part in planning, coordinating, and executing workforce reductions across multiple teams following the loss of a major business line. The organization is navigating a substantial organizational change that is expected to impact approximately 400 employees. The selected candidate will partner closely with HR leadership and business leaders to ensure these transitions are executed in a thoughtful, consistent, compliant, and well-organized manner. This is a highly project-oriented role requiring strong execution, discretion, organization, and the ability to manage sensitive employee matters in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Large-scale workforce reductions and organizational restructuring - 2-5 years of experience.
- HR business partner - 5+ years of experience.
- Workforce planning/Employee relation - 5+ years of experience.
- Prior work experience at client or in client's industry.
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience managing or coordinating a workforce reduction affecting several hundred employees.
- Experience working with Legal, Payroll, Finance, and HR leadership on organizational restructuring.
- Experience creating project plans, tracking workstreams, and coordinating complex employee transition processes.
- HRBP or HR Manager experience in a high-growth, technology, professional services, or similarly dynamic organization.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate HR projects associated with large-scale workforce reductions and organizational restructuring.
- Partner with HR leadership and business leaders to develop and execute workforce transition plans across multiple departments and teams.
- Coordinate timelines, deliverables, communications, and dependencies associated with employee transitions.
- Work closely with HR, Legal, Finance, Payroll, and business leaders to ensure all aspects of the process are aligned and completed accurately.
- Support the development and execution of employee notification and transition processes.
- Ensure appropriate documentation, approvals, and HR processes are completed for impacted employees.
- Help managers and leadership teams prepare for and navigate difficult employee conversations.
- Serve as a trusted HR partner to leaders throughout the restructuring process, providing guidance on HR policies, processes, and employee relations matters.
- Track project milestones, action items, and outstanding decisions across multiple workstreams.
- Identify potential risks, issues, and process gaps and escalate them appropriately.
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and business information.
- Help establish consistent processes and practices across teams to ensure an organized and equitable employee transition experience.
- Support additional HR special projects and organizational initiatives as needed.
